When we think bead curtains, we usually think hippie dens and incense, but recently we’ve noticed the decorative door alternative making a come back in some interesting new forms. We only have one window in our home, so we like to keep it mostly uncovered. In the past we used very transparent fabric, and we also tried decorative wooden screens. Privacy is not much of an issue, but we like the idea of dressing up our 11 foot window. This simple screen might be our next DIY project, especially considering that the length and width can be custom. More photos after the jump…

When we moved last Fall, we lost our access to beloved backyard BBQ setup and have been looking for ways to accomplish the same thing on a smaller, apartment (and patio-less) friendly scale.
