A little while back we blogged about the amazing object murals Maira Kalman did for a school library project; it seemed like an idea that would translate beautifully to the home. Well, Jessica from The Window Ledge has fashioned an object mural of her own in her new apartment, using a collection of flea market finds and vintage sewing paraphernalia. We initially found Elizabeth Duffy’s handiwork on a Flickr user’s photostream. Jaclyn sent in a good question: Are Chicago landlords required to paint the walls each time a new tenant moves in? I can’t seem to find it anywhere in the ordinance but have heard they are legally required to paint….
